Becoming an approved driving instructor requires more than knowing how to drive. You need strong road knowledge, a consistently high driving standard and the ability to help a pupil learn safely. DMSM support is shaped around your current stage, from an initial conversation about the role through to focused preparation for individual qualifying tests.
This is preparation and development support, not official approval. DVSA and the ADI Registrar decide eligibility, manage the qualifying tests and control entry to the register. Training can help you prepare, but it cannot guarantee a test or registration result.
